Founder Statement:

After spending months writing our first screenplay, trying to get it funded, spending weeks shooting and months editing; we wanted to share our creation.  It was hard to find a space for emerging artists to exhibit their films.  After a long search, we noticed a need that wasn’t being met; a platform to present young perspectives of cinema.  

We launched YAFF, to promote experimentation and creativity.  

We are hoping that YAFF  is where the young people can come to showcase and learn to grow their love of cinema, a medium that is very special to us.  

What started out as small hobby writing reviews on letterboxd.com became an obsession with film and the moving image.

We want to foster that love.  

In running this film festival;

• We would like support young artists, like ourselves.  

• We also want to support local theaters.
